Shoulder Arthritis

Arthritis is the term used to describe joint pain or joint disease.  There are many forms of arthritis, with the most common being osteoarthritis (OA). OA is caused when the lining of joints is worn away and the bones then rub together.  This creates uneven joint surfaces and aberrant movement within the joint. In the shoulder, arthritis is often caused  by years of repetitive movements, and can be compounded by underlying biomechanical movement issues. Arthritis usually causes surrounding soft tissue impairments, which can also be a source of pain.  Our skilled clinicians will assess and identify the problematic areas and initiate a program for management of your symptoms caused by arthritis.
